Back Again - Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Reporting Deadline Extended

In light of a recent decision by the federal Court of Appeals on December 23, most reporting companies will now need to file Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports with FinCEN. To accommodate this, the Department of the Treasury has extended the reporting deadline, providing companies additional time to ensure compliance. For those initially required to file by January 1, 2025, the new deadline is January 13, 2025.

For Companies Created or Registered Before January 1, 2024:

Companies in this category now have until January 13, 2025, to file their initial BOI reports with FinCEN. This is an extension from the previous January 1, 2025, deadline.
